Hopkins tried to steal a victory and it backfired. Calzaghe is an entertaining fighter and even Hopkins made him boring.
i agree! i used to be a big hopkins fan but his tactics against joe + his refusal to admit defeat made me lose alot of respect for him!
im not a big calzaghe fan but if hopkins tried to trade with joe instead of clinching & playacting it would have been an even wider defeat! but hopkins knows this!! thats why he does it! hes not ******!
fighting kelly pavlik was a different story coz hopkins wasnt scared to fight pavlik!!!
btw im no calzaghe nuthugger! hopkins needs to accept defeat like a man!
but i understand hes getting old and want 1 last big payday(which he wouldnt get anywhere else!!! )

I'm not a Joe Calzaghe fan & I got mad respect for Bernhard Hopkins but have to agree with Joe on this one. Bernhard Hopkins had that fight but let it slip through his fingers. All he had to do was let his hands go & Calzaghe was done but Bernhard just didn't want to mix it up. If I were Bhop in that fight and I dropped him in the first round then I would have just let it all hang out.

[QUOTE=The_Visitation;4872875]Hmm.. a definite contender for the mindless cr*p of the month award. Who exactly are these 'washed-up has beens' if B-Hop isn't one (which he certainly isn't). Maybe RJJ and, er... um... And I guess you've never even heard of Eubank, who was a better fighter than Kessler will ever be.

Wow ur bringing up Eubank that was over a decade ago. Like i said i'm not impressed with calzaghes lack of opposition. and to say dawson would become suddenly overrated in a loss is absurd. Calzaghe got knocked down by Byron Mitchell. He would get stopped by Dawson. Bhop would outpoint Calzaghe in a rematch but the Welsh poontang will take his two victories over rjj and bhop and run away retiring before getting exposed. bhop ain't washed up but just cuz he looked good against pavlik (who is limited when u take his distance away) doesn't mean he is what he used 2 be. Calzaghe u are a *****. Eat ****. I'm tired of seeing this **** in the articles

I've been saying it constantly, he doesn't want to lose because he knows a second time around he would, slapping baby.
