Venezuela's Edwin Valero said that the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez "is afraid to wait for me to become the new world champion in lightweight WBC and accept a challenge to fight me like champions."
Valero said that he would like to find out if Marquez is afraid to fight him by moving up in weight or if he will wait for him. Valero is waiting and is confident he will win the WBC light weight title against his opponent Pitalúa in Austin.
