Realistically Who Will Margarito fight?

I figure he'll fight a cab driver, followed by a series of retreads if he decides to go forward with fighting in Mexico. If he fights in Mexico, it's likely that he'll never fight in America again. He's not suspended, his license has been revoked. The difference being that he doesn't have a license to fight and since he isn't willing to respect the commission's decision, they most likely will not grant him a license.
Either way, he's a finished fighter. When aggressive fighters like Tyson, Trinidad, etc. get cracked, they stay cracked. Tyson recovered physically but we saw how he was no longer "The most feared blah blah" after getting KO'ed. I think Margarito presents a target for a lot of fighters looking to make their names because he's damaged goods.Comment

We both agree he has the option...COTTO HAS THE OPTION! When Cotto had the rematch set for June we were all happy with that, so it shows no fear from his fans(your making up facts again)....and if your REALLY so crazy about redemption after a loss, then why arent you yelling for a rematch for Margarito for his BRUTAL BEATING at the hands of Mosley first?...I mean your case is based on the fact that Cotto was beaten badly...how about Mosley beating him so severe with no question that Mosley cheated? Shouldnt he avenge his loss first then see if Cotto give him a shot...lolI'm not saying that he can't! Cotto can more than make up for his loss going thru contenders and Belt holders so lets agree on that and drop it. But what i'm trying to stress is that maybe he doesn't feel the same way you do!!!
Maybe just maybe avenging that loss is somthing Cotto wants to prove to himself and to hell with his limp wristed fans who would rather he take a less challanging path to the title.
I don't know man for someone so convinced that Margarito used illegal wraps against Cotto you seem rather reluctant to put your theories to the test.
Listen maybe you should read before you post...I said JMM had a loss not that he was koed. I think u get the point ..you just need to get off your knees and get Margs. d*** out of your mouth.
Now thats keeping it real.....that's reality. If I was Cotto I would solidify or create my legacy on other great fighters and somewhere down the line I would use my ace in the hole payday since SOME people are so obsessed with the fight.Yeah maybe...
Either your basing this on YOUR theory or youve spoken to Cotto
Would you rematch a guy who most likely cheated against you in a career defining fight and beat you up in the process? Would you give him a six figure payday? Someone that couldve seriously hurt your career and inflict permanent damage? I doubt it
WOW...talk about denial. The proof is most definitely not in Margarito's belly button so stop looking in there , and that weight on your chin is not your imagination.Last edited by dondi330; 03-07-2009, 05:32 PM.Comment

I read your post. and you were trying to say that even though Cotto got knocked out he should still get respect. I agree. Then you tried to compare Cotto's loss to JMM loss. JMM lost by a SPLIT decision. Cotto got knocked out.
JMM is STILL trying to avenge his loss. You don't want Cotto to avenge his.
See the difference?Comment

WELL SAID...you seem non biased...but you will have trouble with the Margarito huggers they will not let go no matter how much sweat is on Margs nut.I figure he'll fight a cab driver, followed by a series of retreads if he decides to go forward with fighting in Mexico.
