Okay lets settle this once and for all...

If Floyd fought Marquez at a catchweight of 140, would he be demonstrating 'cherry picking' to the max or is this generally a fair fight for both?

Cherry picking. Floyd's a bitch and this is a bitch move

Good fair fight. Floyds been inactive for a year and Marquez is no2 p4p.

I dunno how effective Marquez would be at 140, but I wouldn't call it a "***** move", more a case of picking an easier fight than Cotto/Mosley at 147. Unless of course Marquez moves to 140 and proves he can fight effectively at the weight.

What are your thoughts Ishy Aytan?

marquez has expressed his interest in moving up in weight, this isn't because he is too big for lightweight but because he wants the money fights, 140 is really not a feasible weight class for marquez who was wobbled badly by a seemingly weak lightweight puncher in juan diaz, i think this would be cherry picking by floyd.

fighting pacquiao or jmm is not fair fights IMO, he needs to be fighting welterweights. in the same token, if he makes 140 after a two year lay off it does even out abit. thats why this fight will not happen at 140, if it does happen it will be at 144 + which means it's cherry picking.

A win over JMM/Pac would prove that Mayweather is an ATG Top 15 and he could beat fighter his size through history. Includes Duran Pernell Mosley and many others

Erm ent too sure tbh. Of course i'd rather see him fight Pacquiao or Cotto. I dont really want to see him fight Mosley. No point.

But Marquez ent exactly a poor fighter, but then again his best days are at Supper Feather/Lightweight; how well will he do against the top Light Welters. Diaz was catching him with clean big shots, will he be able to handle the same shots at Light Welter?

I think i'd be dissapointed if Floyd fought Marquez over Pac or Cotto, even over Mosley.
