Sure he would, but you would also have to take into account that JMM probably will weigh in lower than the limit while mayweather will probably come in at the limit.
Come fight night, yes he will weigh in about 6 more pounds. But you still have to take into consideration that Marquez will probably not come close to 144 on the day of the weigh in.
Sure enough following your same logic why doesn't Floyd face a welter, since the difference would be the same but at his disadvantage.

Mayweather has spent 70% of his career at Super Featherweight
and
Juan Manuel Marquez has spent 90% of his career at Featherweight


Pacquaio went up 2 divisions to fight Oscar
and plus Juan Manuel Marquez called out Floyd.. not the other way around.
