1st off I hear alot of people saying that he is retired and not coming back but I have never ever felt that way and I still dont. I think he clearly wants to fight again and I think if he could then he would already have a fight. The problem is that the guy he wanted to fight is Pac. I think he wants to fight Pac 1st because its just the perfect setup. He comes back after being off for 2 years and beats the #1 guy in the game in one of the biggest fights in history. I think he was worried alot about public perception so he wanted to fight now but he wanted to wait for Pac to get one more big win at a higher weight. I beleive Floyd doesnt want Mosley or Cotto now for a few reasons. I think he seriously feels that if he fought Pac after Pac beats Hatton then Floyd will be an underdog. Pac would obviously have to look good to beat Hatton, he may stop him, and you combine that with the layoff will make Pac the clear favorite. Thats the perfect comeback for Floyd and the biggest money fight out there. If he beats Cotto or Mosley 1st then he's all of assudden the favorite in the Pac fight and some will even say that the fight shouldnt happened. That makes it less money and most of all it takes alot of credit away from the win.
I have been saying on here for a long time that I think if Floyd did fight Pac then he would try to also fight JMM. However, I think he felt the same way about JMM as he did about the others. He wanted to see him get a win at the bigger weights so people would give him credit if he beat JMM. Then all of assudden things changed. What changed is that Floyd saw Roach, Arum, and Pac really start genuiley talking about not fighting him. They were truly talking about fighting JMM or Cotto next. Then you even had Hatton talking about fighting JMM next. I think this made his whole mentality change about waiting. I think he see's that he can change all of that by taking on JMM now. 1st off he will get the big fight he wants, it will then make Pac want to fight him, and he can knock off the guy who alot of people think is the best in the game. Sure he's not going to get full credit for it but guess what? I really dont think he cares anymore. I think he figures that the fans and mass media which is mostly hispanic will rip him no matter what. Therefore, the best thing to do is to kill there heroes. I hear Roach, the media, and alot of fans say that the Floyd fights will be boring but I think he's going to try to kill them and let out all his frustration. No matter what you think about the fight, it will still go down in history as a Mayweather win over JMM. Thats a big win and I think he will knock him out.
The good thing for Floyd is that I think he will do it in a way that everyone will say that he was bigger & stronger but it wouldnt have mattered because he will show that he is flat out more skilled. I dont think JMM will hardly land a clean blow and Floyd will hit him at will. I think Floyd will meet him at 140 so he can also fight Pac there. I think Floyd wants to fight those 2 guys before the WW because size wise it just makes sense. He can come back against them at 140 and then move up to WW for the rest of his career instead of having 2 or 3 fights at WW and then trying to go down to 140. Everyone keeps talking about 20mil but I think thats just a number. We all know that he cares about money but he's not all about money. Thats why he will fight JMM. People keep talking about him turning down other fights but I think everyone forgets about the Oscar rematch. Floyd was going to get crazy paid for that fight but he just didnt want to fight anymore no matter how much money. Thats why you cant just call him a punk for the WW's when he even turned down the Oscar rematch. I think he really wants to stick it to everyone and kill there 2 heros in JMM & Pac. They may take credit away from him but they were going to do that anyway and atleast this way he takes down there big guns. Even the haters will start to come around. Then by time he is done with those 2 fights, he can then go to WW to fight a Cotto, Mosley, maybe Clottey. Even Berto will be ready by then. JMM is a big fight for less money but it gets him closer to Pac and its still probably not much less then the WW fights because JMM wont want as much of the cut. Mosley is an idiot for asking for 50/50. How much would it suck for Floyd to take down the 2 biggest hero's in boxing and stick it to the haterz. He'll love it no matter how much credit he gets because he wasnt going to get it anyway from those same guys.
