Most people go with the RING P4P list, or something close to it.

Tarver beat Jones, didn't become number 1.

Taylor beat Hopkins, didn't become number 1.

Douglas beat Tyson, didn't become number 1.

What the hell makes Ricky Hatton and some of his fans, think he's so damn special?
To be fair I think Hattons resume is currently better than all the examples you gave but yea if he does beat Pacman most will have him rated around no5 p4p

he's better, to an extent. But, realistically, that's a double-edged sword. p4p is also based on how well it is perceived that you MIGHT do in the FUTURE. We all kind of know how well he will do. Not to say it's horrible, but he has his limitations and he's pretty stated that he's at the end of his career, after a handful of fights or less.

Say he beats Pacman and then beats Marquez, where should he be ranked then?

Let's say he fights a real Jr Welter in Bradley, where should he be rank then?

He is just coming off a win against the no2 Jr Welter. For the record I don't think he should be no1 p4p regardless of how the pacman fight goes...
