Herbie Hide defeats Sandro Siproshvili by UD

But he has a more difficult fight coming up on May 15, in a WBC eliminator against American Matt Godfrey.

        I didn't see it, but I see he won a very wide decision: 80-72, 80-72, and 79-73.

It's funny how you have Herbie Hide who has actually won the heavyweight title and has fought 12-13 times now since the beginning of 2007 and rarely if ever does he get mention on this site.

On the other hand you have a fat slob like David Tua, who never won the title, who has fought once or twice in the same time and the mere prospect of him fighting some chump brings about half a dozen threads per month.

Hide should have made the jump to cruiserweight straight after the Bowe fight. Or maybe after the Vitali fight.

He would have been a major force at cruiserweight and maybe even a dominant champion.

              F.uckin' love Herbie,

How comes he can't knock people out anymore? It's shocking. He'd KO guys with **** that barely connected he was a murderous puncher in his prime with the chin of a 12 year old girl.

** Hide couldn't make the 190 lb limit. It was only feasable when they moved up to 200, at which time he was considered shot.

And he's proven to be still shot as he is being propped up against padded journeymen for a title challenge. Cruiser is a weak division, and he's fighting 30-40th ranked cruisers at best, and often at a much worse level.

His balance is way off as is his timing, and his power cut in half along with his punch resistence. He wins on frentic intimidation much like post prison Tyson used to do against a similar cast and we know how that turned out.
