Cotto vs Clottey analysis

After watching Clotteys last 3 fights, I saw that he have a great defense for headshots but not for body shots and he doesnt take bodyshots well. He doesnt thow enough and he doesnt like to get jabbed, and he gets hit a lot with left uppercuts. He does have a great defense and take a punch, he have very good hand speed, but his timming is not as good and he sometimes throws wild shots. He tires a lot late too.

Cotto in the other hand is a measure preasure fighter, who can box very well. Cottos hand speed is a bit faster than Clotteys, and Cottos timming is best in the sport. Cotto gets tag by right hands uppercuts like crazy, and gets stunned quite often.

With this said, I think that for Clottey to win hell have to step up and throw more punches, but if he throws more punches, he is bunder to tire a lot faster, because he is not use to throw that many punches and he gets tire anyways. I think Cotto will control the pace, and hit Clottey a lot to the body, Clottey will have his moments, but hell get tire mid fight and Cotto will take over. Watch out foe Clotteys headbuts mid fight when he realize the fight is slipping from him. there will be some points deductions in this fight.

I think the first half of th fight will be close as hell but after the 7th round, Cotto will take over with his measure agression and body punching Clottey will be in his shell mode for most of the second half of the fight. The first half of the fight will look like Cotto-Abdullaev and the second half, like Cotto-Judah.

I think Clottey is slightly faster than Cotto. And I think Cotto's stamina is better than Clottey's, his work rate included.

I think Cotto will win by UD, Clottey is tough and skilled enough to stay in there. It will be a potentially great fight. But anything is possible and overall, I think it can also still go either way.

Expect some headbutts from Clottey though, seriously.

Well that depends, will the New York State Athletic Commission allow clottey to re-hydrate 30 lbs of water to his head?

I think Cotto will get cut in this fight, but he has always dealt with cuts. So I don't think it will be a big issue unless it is on the eye lid.

Cotto always gets cut. Even against Jennings he had some deep red marks on his face that appeared from no where. He's probably cut as we speak!

Yeah I noticed those too, but I thought it was from the bumps on his forehead.
