This is a great fight, I won't believe it until it's official, but finally Clottey will finally get his time to shine. He has waited so long for this, I hope he is fully prepared and has a great game plan. I got Clottey all the way, I like Cotto but against bigger, durable, talented fighters(Mosley, Margarito) he had some trouble. Clottey will win SD.

Thats exactly what I'm saying. I don't understand why Margarito fans would opt to say that Cotto 'quit' instead of pointing out that Margarito delivered a crushing blow to Cotto and he just couldn't recover. When he stood up it was obvious his legs weren't completely under him.

I'm sure if Margarito/Capetillo tried to cheat with Mosley they probably did it
to Cotto, BUT we don't know that for sure. Here's my point, I knew Margarito would beat Cotto from when the first time the fight was announced because Margarito's style nullified Cotto's. Cotto is an aggressive puncher who comes forward and Margarito is a bigger guy with a durable chin & comes forward punching non stop.

Once Cotto couldn't hurt or back down Margarito he was clueless on how to beat him because like it or not Cotto's power and being able to back fighters up is a big advantage for him but when he has faced guys he couldn't back down the fight became difficult (Mosley/Margarito). No matter if plaster played a part or not in Cotto's loss, bottom line, Margarito's style of fighting trumped Cotto's. Cotto would have NEVER have had to quit or take that much punishment if he had a smarter game plan going in the ring against Margarito.

I don't think the plaster should be an excuse for Cotto's loss because Clottey fought Marg & didn't get beat like that & Williams beat him....So, if Plaster played a part in Margarito's passed fights then you would have to count them fighters but they clearly fought Margarito better than Cotto did.
            Well said!!!

How can he ever be a threat to Floyd? Even after the so called top notch fights he has had...LMAO!! Cotto has never been higher than 3 on anybody's pound for pound list..Only 2 top notch fights (Mosley and Margs) and he is 1 and 1 = No threat..

Personally I actually think that the whole illegal wrapping, plaster being left out, started after the P. Will fight. After Margarito lost he was practically a journeyman. He needed big wins in convincing matter to get him back in the mix and was on a roll. Johnson, Cintron, Cotto all by KO. Then suddenly the wraps are applied 'properly' and he looks helpless against Mosely. Mosely is good but he's not so good as too make Margarito look like a C-rated fighter. I like Margarito more than Mayorga, but Mayorga looked better against Mosely. Either Cotto damaged Margarito more than people thought in their fight or Margarito lost all confidence after being exposed.
