i box and have taken lots of punches..im not saying im superman but i can think and react after im hit

Look at the guys who had the best chins. Jose Luis Castillo and Baldomir have really strong jaw lines, Hagler had a thicker than normal head. Margarito has a big ass head. You can see that it's mostly physical.

I do think it is mental as well though. Being able to brace for a punch and react timely all has to do with mental.

it mainly has to do with your neck strength, a strong neck is less likely to snap back so much which sends a message down the spinal cord and the rest of your body reacts to it such as your legs turnin g to jelly.

Can you really compare sparring or even amatuer fights to pro fights though? It's a different ball game. I agree mental is part of it. Corrales for example willed himself to keep going even though he had a less than stellar chin.
