I know he is very good for his age, and I gave him props before. Jus saying all these threads I see of people saying he's going to grow up and be a great Champion based off some mitt work is ridiculous. And the kid is on every sports tv show around like he's the next sensation.Comment

That's the real big question there. If you look at his Body & face feature, he's the kind if a small face, He looks chinny to me. But You can't deny the talent.
I show his video to my 5 yr old son & I ask him to emulate what he saw in Bam-Bam. My Boy actually get the punch routine in one shot. The one. two, Slip, slip. So I think there's nothing extra ordinary of what we saw in Bam=Bam if you train a kid early. I wanna see Bam in the fight/Sparring first to make a real Judgement.
Here's the Video of my son. My son's face are Big for his size, I'm sure he can take a shot to the Chin.
Just turned 3 here. Ist try in a Punching Bag.
This is what you'll see face to face:
Jab, Jab, Uppercut combination:
Fight experience at 4, using head movement & defence like Floyd:
Ist try at this Punching Ball: Very Coachable & Smart:
Punch mitt with Buboy fernandez at 6:00 mark:
Good analyst, Predicted Pac-DLH!!!

This is what you don't understand though, a child that age doesn't have the coordination that an adult has. That type of hand and eye control is never seen in a child that age. That's what makes it so impressive.
I'm a boxing coach and I tell you I see kids 14-20 years old that don't have anywhere close to that agility and coordination.
I don't know if he's going to be a good pro fighter because good skills is just half the battle in boxing. You still have to be able to take a punch, have endurance and put in the time and effort to want to be a fighter.
There's no doubt though that is incredibly impressive by such a young child.Comment

Well my son is not on training yet. I just let him to be a Kid. But you can't deny my son has natural talent. Coz I have 100s of relatives here & bunch of kids but nobody moves like him. Not even my older son.
I think Bam-bam will end up as a Featherweight, Training like that early will slow down your growth. I'm about 130 when I was 23-25, so I expect my son to be at 126-135 when he start fighting Professional. We'll see Bam-bam there at the olympics.
BTW we haven't seen Bam-bam yet in a fight. What will happen when some kid hit him flush in the chin??? Don't judge Bam-bam yet. The Kid has talent & I apprciate that. I'm a fan myseelf.Last edited by Pacdbest; 03-06-2009, 02:13 PM.Comment
