I think Clottey will try to walk Cotto down and be agressive. I still dont think it's in his nature to outright pressure though like a Margarito would. He likes to take parts of rounds off and explode with combinations. If Cotto can dictate the pace then he should be fine because Clottey isn't the best at leading. He kind of just walks forward with his high guard and leaps into his opponent with wide punches.

I think Clottey is the better fighter and will beat Cotto. I agree with the OP in that he will walk Cotto down. It doesnt have to be fast pressure or anything but best beleive that Clottey wont go backwards at all this fight. He will be coming forward at all times.

People also make way too big of a deal about Clottey being too defensive. He basically fights like Winky, Abraham, and Quartey. I dont think any of those guys had many problems. He'll cover up when you throw but he'll block nearly every punch and will immediatly fire back with blistering counters.

I also heard people on here say that Clottey fades. Have you guys ever saw Cotto fight? He always fades and is on the move in the late rounds of alot of his fights. I think Cotto has improved alot and is a beast but I think Clottey is a monster also. I could see this fight going many ways. I do only think that Cotto can win a close fight. I think Clottey can win a close fight but can also win a comfortable fight. I dont think Cotto has any chance of stopping Clottey and while I dont see Clottey stopping Cotto, I do think its possible. Its just a great fight and both guys will want to show that there the best

He might be similar to Abraham in the sense that both will chill in their guard and explode with punches. The only difference there is Abraham has real KO power, and Clottey does not. In fact he slaps with a lot of his punches. I dont know if Clottey fades, but he definitely takes parts of rounds, even full rounds off. Even if he walks Cotto down, he wont be letting his hands go for the whole round.

I agree it's a close fight. It'll be tough for both guys, and Cotto will need to be ready for battle like the Margarito fight. The difference is, Cotto wont have to worry about as much leather flying at him. It'll be coming at him faster though.

Arum never took sides being that he promotes both Cotto & Marg so I highly doubt Arum thought anything. He only saw dollar signs.

If Cotto is that good he would have beat Margarito.

Clottey went 12 rounds with Tony and didn't get a scratch...Cotto got STEAMROLLED.
