If it's a life or death situation, sure. But eating them just for the sake of it seems rather pointless. I know in certain parts of the World dogs are not looked upon with the same affection as they are in the west. It's just one of those things. Dogs are, for the most part domesticated animals and play a very important role in the lives of millions and millions of people. I think there was a dog that even won a medal of honour.

The people who keep them in cages and skin them alive are sick bastards, and there's absolutely no excuse for it. I'm by no means an ignorant person, and realise there's different cultures, but that nonsense needs to be stamped out.

There's a difference between killing and eating a dog, and killing and eating a dog that a kid has grown attached to.

That said the whole eating thing has to do with cultures. Pigs can make good house pets themselves, and are said to be pretty intelligant as well. Although the dog has been a domesticated animal for years.
