floyd's undefeated record is the only advantage he has on pacquiao from a historical perspective.

manny's been so lucky in his career. he has all the extras that floyd doesn't have.

his story for one. he was this close to giving up and going back to philippines before he got lucky and ledwaba needed a last minute replacement.

pacquiao also got lucky that barrera needed an opponent for their fight in texas. being a 2-time , 2-division champ and his good record was enough to make the fight look good and barrera probably didn't consider him a threat.

the competitiveness of his fights with marquez and the 1st 2 with morales also helped him greatly even though he got 1 loss and 1 draw in those fights.

most of the time floyd is in non-competitive fights. when a fighter totally outmatches his opponent it makes it easier for the critics to discount the win or the opponent.
