    Martinez and Forrest

I believe that Vernon Forrest has until the 13th of March to accept a fight with Sergio Martinez or to vacate his belt. What do you guys make of that fight and what should Martinez do next if either: a) He fights Forrest and wins or b)Forrest refuses to fight and gives him the belt?

Just curious, srill kinda heated after he got robbed against Cintron...travesty

I like Martinez. I hope the fight goes off, it seems like a good matchup.

Martinez deserves his shot. not a big fight, but he earned it so give it to em. If Vernon don't do that, nothin else really out there for him at 154 other than Pwill after the Winky fight.

Forrest will vacate. Martinez's interim strap will become official.

Martinez is a beast. He is going to beat Santos if that unification fight comes off.

He'd also probably beat the Spinks-Lattimore winner in another unification bout if they fought.

I have still never seen this Dzinziruk guy, but... from everything I've heard, if Martinez desires to stay on top, he should probably not fight this guy, because from everything I've heard, he'd lose.

I think Forrest will need to fight Martinez if he wants to remain relevant at 154, the belt is pretty much the only thing that is keeping him in the picture right now, and I don't see him moving up to 160 so I think Forrest will fight Martinez even if he doesn't really want to.

If Martinez wins or if he gets elevated to full titlist, I hope he unifies with another titlists, Santos, Dzinziruk or Williams would be decent fights, outside of the titlist there are quite a few options for him, Angulo, the winner of Julio-Kirkland or even against a comebacking Antonio Margarito in a year, Martinez is in a pretty good spot right now with HBO's backing and all that.

i dunno man. compared to martinez, santos is a huge ass dude, and ad to that some boxing skills. seems like he can easily contend at middle weight maybe even super. but martinez does have a really good chance at beating him.
