If Vitali Klitschko was 6" 3 and around 230lbs

Would he still be champ? or is his size his main asset?

I don't know about Vitali because he actually has some aggression and skills but if Wlad were that size, he wouldve already been blown out of boxing years ago. If there is one boxer who should thank all the gods for having size, its Wlad. The guy is all size and reach, and nothing else.

Size is not his main asset but it helps him and he uses it very well.

to his credit, there are very few boxers who are 6'6.5", walk around at 250 are able to have as punch speed and power as wlad does. if wlad didn't look so awkward in his foot movement he'd be the perfect heavyweight.

wlad cuts to the 240lb range doesn't he? that's 240lbs of lean body mass, not many boxers are blessed with frames like that. there are plenty of tall boxers pushing in the high 6ft range, but wlad and vitali are the only ones who can carry all that weight around and still possess athletic physiques. the only thing that comes close are athletes in the nba.

Lots of tall and big fighters can't fight for ****.. If size was all that mattered.. Tye Fields would be right behind Valuev as the Greatest fighters ever.. Other greats would Include.. Audley Harrison.. Micheal Grant and Primo Carnera

Wlad has a lot of natural speed and talent while Vitali has raw power you can't teach. He knows how to use his height well, but it's not his main asset. I think both guys would fair well still, obviously Vitali more so than Wlad.

Vitali's reach is only 80" and Wlad's is 81". Lennox Lewis had a reach of 84" and Paul Williams has a reach of 82".

Vitali's past several opponents have weighed more than him: Peter, Williams, Johnson, and Lewis.

Wlad's last two opponents, Rahman and Thompson, had a longer reach. About 20 of Wlad's opponents have weighed more than him - Thompson, Austin, Jackson, Jefferson, Purrity etc. Wlad used to fight at around 225.

Idiots like to discredit the Klitschkos by pointing out some non-existant reach advantage.
