Its mind blowing to me how many people want to see the Pac-JMM tilogy over a Pac-Floyd fight. Dont get me wrong, they are 2 great fighters but I obviously was the only one that got sick of all the Pac, EM, MAB stuff. I hated it. Sure its good at 1st but it got to the point where all they did was fight eachother. Now you can throw JMM into that mix. Wasnt the Pac-Oscar fight exciting? Didnt you really get up for JMM-Diaz? Why do you want to see the same matches a million times? Im not saying that they should never have the trilogy but Im saying that you can have that any time. There are much better fights out there besides that. I would much rather see either of them fight Floyd, Campbell, Guzman, Bradley, Cotto, or whoever.
People act like the 3rd fight will settle things. Well what if JMM wins? Then everyone would be saying that they should have a 4th fight. Actually, I wouldnt mind seeing 2 fighters have 4 or 5 fights against eachother like they use to do in the old days but again, other fights should happened 1st. The simple fact is that no matter what you think, we all truthfuly know that the biggest fight in boxing is Floyd-Pac. It just is. If Pac fights JMM 1st and loses then we will never see that fight. We will also never see Floyd-JMM. However, if Pac fights Floyd 1st and loses then he can still fight JMM and everyone will still want to see it. If JMM wins then everyone will want to see a Floyd-JMM fight. It just makes way more sense to me. The trilogy can happened no matter what. A loss to Floyd wouldnt dampened that fight much but a lost to eachother would destroy a Floyd fight.
If Pac loses to JMM then basically everything is over. Not only does the Floyd fight go away but also the Mosley & Cotto fights go away. He may have even fought Berto down the line but that goes away. Even if youre just talking about the fight itself, I still dont get how people want to see Pac-JMM over Floyd. I hear everyone saying that a Floyd fight would be boring but I think that is so wrong. NO way he fights defensive against guys who arent huge. He would try to walk both of those guys down and throw alot of punches. They would be exciting fights for however long they lasted. Do people really think Floyd would fight them the way he fought Oscar at 154 or Baldy? Why would he? I also keep hearing alot of people say that Floyd wouldnt take the risk of fighting a good guy like JMM for little money but I think that is so false. I honestly beleive that he feels that he would not only win but kill both of those guys because there the same size as him. I dont think he will fight JMM now for the same reason I didnt think he would fight Pac or Shane and thats because they need 1 more win at that weight to make the fight bigger and for him to receive total credit.
I hear some say that JMM is small but I dont see that. To me it was shocking because I actually thought he looked naturaly bigger then Diaz and had more power at LW then he did at all his other weights. Both him and Pac are freaks who actually get bigger and stronger as they move up. I totally disagree with people saying that he's not a real LW. People make it sound like he was small. He wasnt small against Diaz and I thought his body looked very good while his power was very strong for the weight. Diaz has fought some beast and has never ever really been hurt but you could tell that JMM was startling him alot with his power, even early in the fight. I just think that all of you are losing out if you want to see the trilogy before a Floyd fight because it will be one of the biggest fights in history and you have a great shot at totaly throwing it away if it doesnt happened next.
