    The hard upbringing comment is correct. In Bernard Hopkins - Beyond the Glory, they show him in Philly talking to young people teaching them to avoid his mistakes. I really couldn't stand him when he said the comment about losing to a white guy, but since then I've really grown to respect the man. He's a good ambassador for the sport and a great inspiration for youths growing up in difficult neighbourhoods.

                    Ouma, Miranda. Compared to those two, especially Ouma, everyone else looks like a joke in terms of adversity overcome.

                    Hopkins in terms of those who have had what could tentatively be called a "normal" life comparatively.
