It's funny because when people say JMM got robbed then they throw out scores like 114-113. If anything Pac got robbed in the first fight because the judge didn't use correct scoring.

FFS. People will be getting their detailed score cards out again next. This **** refuses to die.

No, you know the reason people use it? It's because no matter what he does and how he does it people are still going to claim he is overrated, he doesn't deserve the praise, or, because it is nearly always insane Pac-fans bringing it up that Pac is on another level somehow and doesn't even rate comparison.

He does, that's just simple fact. Their two hardest fights have been with each other, and apart from the judge decision is the rematch it's entirely unclear who really won either fight. Both have gone on to great things, Marquez most recently with a blistering outing over a great, young, big, prime champ.

Just remember what happened after Pac beat Oscar. It was ten times worse than what is going on with Marquez now.

What about all the "Pac=Top ten ATG!", "Pac beats Mayweather by KO because Mayweather couldn't beat Oscar by KO", Pac=The best fighter of the last 50 years" etc etc etc?

Boxing writers and so-called "professional journalists" spout opinions that hold no more weight than most casual fans' opinions on here. They get things wrong. Sometimes very wrong. So-called boxing writers predicted Lacy to KO Calzaghe, some in just a couple of rounds. They were ridiculously wrong! Oscar was apparently gonna KO Pacquiao, and it was supposed to be a complete mis-match. They couldn't have been more wrong. Yet there are people here who seem much sharper and are able to offer a better analysis, have vast knowledge, predict an almost exact outcome of a fight, and post more informative posts daily.

Take boxing writers with a pinch of salt.

Most polls and experts gave Marquez the nod both times. Im sure someone can link you to them, but they are on here.

Lol at that quote. might as well rewrite the whole scoring system and take out knockdown points.

Most people, is the wrong claim to make.

If you add up all the major media outlets; magazines, broadcasters... Then you have a different story.

You can add that up, fairly easily.

                      Nonetheless, what's done is done.

When you factor in that fight, you look at it like this. Marqueez looks like a guy who almost beat the best fighter in the world. Pacquiao looks like the guy who almost lost to the number two guy in the world.

Not that big of a deal. They fought a close fight, neither has shown supremacy, and neither will.

I wouldn't really care if they never fought each other again. It would settle nothing, and they have many more options at this point.
