i'm still waiting for some hard evidence....cotto himself has never used that excuse, so why do ppl on here?
regardless, margarito walked through the best **** cotto had to dish out, he didn't put plaster on his face.
let me explain in the first fight cotto caught alot of ppl including shane offguard by boxing mosley and not playing the part of brawler. this time around i think suagr knows what to expect, also sugar shane does as pointed out beforehand do better in the rematches. i also think mosley is a more reserved and disciplined fighter these days and not as hectic or cavalier as he once was which will help him.
i dont think cotto will be scoring any KO or TKO, thats for sure, bu it would be a helluva good fight and well worth watching.
I've been saying that Cotto's style is just a bad match up for Mosley. Cotto's really patient and his timing is always on point. He'd lure Shane in and that jab would pop his head back, then he'd switch southpaw and land the straight left.
Cotto beats Shane again in the same fashion, or possibly more decisive.
Mosley is a much tougher cat and more adept at not getting his ass whopped then any of the guys Cotto has stopped or made quit at welter (Quintana, Judah, Gomez, Jennings).
just cause cotto hasnt said it doesnt mean hes not thinkin it or that it didnt happen.
at the same time, just cuz you think it, doesn't mean it happened.
plaster or no plaster, i'd love to see cotto margarito II, cuz cotto can't knock out margarito, and he had better be prepared to fight 12 whole rounds, trying to keep margarito off dat ass. i rooted for cotto the first fight, but i'm dissapointed every1 wants to use that excuse as to why he lost, when there has been no evidence presented for it. stylisticly, margarito is a bad matchup for cotto. whenever he fights shane or margarito again, cotto won't blow either of them out. if he wins, it'll be by a close decision, but i think he has just as good of chance of losing either fight too. and that's taking nothing away from cotto, i thought he was a great fighter before the margarito fight, and i still do.
