Freddie Roach, the trainer of Manny Pacquiao, has little interest in matching his fighter against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Over the last few years, Pacquiao has built a reputation for being one of the most exciting fighters in the sport. If Pacquiao beats Ricky Hatton on May 2 in Las Vegas, Roach would rather go with another fight. He feels Mayweather is a boring fighter. [details]

Backward running, also known as backwards running, running backwards, retro running, or retro locomotion is the act of running in reverse, so that one travels in the direction one's back is facing rather than one's front.

Haha, this is clearly a ploy that isn't gonna work. Does Roach really think that by acting disinterested that's gonna lure Floyd out?

Smart posturing from Roach, anybody who doesn't see what he is doing is a dip****.
Unstead of directly calling out Mayweather like most fighters do (Margarito, Hatton, Mosley and now Marquez) he is gonna play it like Manny doesn't need Floyd, that FLoyd is a boring fighter, that Pacquiao is greater then Floyd and doesn't even need to fight him.
Things like that might get the pretty one to come out the woodwork and start negotiating.

Roach is blowing smoke...Mayweather wasn't boring against Hatton, Zudah, Gatti....He was boring against Baldomir because the level in skill was astronomical.
