This guy has 265k points and hasn't been posting very often.

In a matter of hours, he's posted wanting bets of 500k - nearly double the points he's managed to develop in over a year. That's as things stand now, and him just taking one of those bets for each fight.

I don't think the guy means his first fight of the year, but his first loss will come in 2009.

I think he means "loses his first fight" as in he gets his first loss this year. Not the first fight of the year.
