    The mouthpiece story...

You know how it is. You have two mouthpieces, one a particular favorite. Some *******s out there only have the one, and some of you that have never boxed as a pro like I have - most of you, I imagine - probably don't know the importance of them.

But you get in the ring with a mouthpiece, fighting your best, but all the time thinking "damn, I wish I had my favorite one in."

Just another little clip there to entertain you all. You can find more like that in my book, I've sold nearly twelve copies.

Do you really get attached to a particular mouthpiece John?

I'll probably never be able to fully understand what it's like to be a real fighter, that's why I'm glad we have guys like you here. To point things out to us we may otherwise never know.

wow, thats really cool, don't you think it's like...the grass is always greener?

I mean, if you put that second mouth piece in, surely you're just thinking the same?

            I wouldn't know though. A true dichotomy.

It's good getting some professional insight. Just like General Lee teaching me about the art of war.

I'm glad we've got real ex-pro fighters like Scully here to show us how it really is.
