I wouldn't mind a Nate-Zab fight. Sounds good to me.

But the fact of the matter is that HBO wants Nate Campbell (Who I guess your calling soupy) and NOT Zab Judah so in actuality Zab is considered NOT worth HBO's time. Zab Judah is at the bottom when he could have been on top.

If I was Nate Campbell I wouldn't fight Zab Judah because there
is NO up to that. He might as well go for the Undefeated fighter "Devon Alexander" to make his debut at 140. Defeating a fighter with NO losses makes more sense than fighting a guy like Zab that hasn't proved anything in a loooooonnnng time! Zab WAS where Nate wanted to be in the sport of Boxing & Zab blew it. Pauli Malignaggi is a weak opponent but you have to give him credit for having only two loses in his professional career & both
of them coming by way of Elite fighters Cotto/Hatton.

If he could get a fight with Urango then that would work better than the latter two because Urango is coming off of a big win & captured a title. Nate Campbell priorities should be to establish himself at 140 & if he can't get a title fight the first time out then he should go at the UNDEFEATED fighter then get the title shot next. Zab Judah? Nah, Nate keep away from that. Zab should take one last shot at Welter & get at Carlos Quintana to advance to Berto.

Even though Zab is not winning those needed fights for some reason he keeps bringing people to see the show which is always good for boxing. Zab hasn't done anything good for his career latley. I think he should get a win or two with class B fighters and then challenge the big Dawgs!!!!!!! That's how he should prove himself, stop giving him so many title shots in a row if the guy is coming short every time.......

We have to remember, Nate is just starting to get big time exposure. He was fighting on ESPN just 18 months ago. I am pretty sure he likes the HBO paydays more. The one thing we can all be assured of is that he will be fighting a good fighter.

Why is Zab trying to fight a LW moving up? That is what I dont like. He should be looking at Torres, Alexander, Peterson, Harris or Paulie. Zab is just running his mouth. Has Zab even made a fight at 140 yet since moving down? But I guess its safe to go down now since Tszyu is gone. He don't want to do the "Get Silly" dance again.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. That pretty much sums up Zab "Super" Judah.

I just ask my co-worker who has HBO and is a casual fan who Judah was and she said "a boxer" and I asked her who Soupy was and she didn't have a clue.

Soupy is old and bring nothing to the table....everyone at 140 is under 30....Soupy struggled with a 31 year old...he's not running nothing at 140. Who can get excited about a Soupy fight, I can count how many times he has been on a preminum cable network (HBO & Showtime) on 1 hand. He has 5 losses and zero value at the negotiation table, he bankrupt and long in the tooth.

Judah is a loser himself but at least he's a NAME...and I'd rather fight a gatekeeper with a name (Judah) than a gatekeeper with no name (Soupy).

Case in point, Soupy beat Diaz and yet Diaz career continues to prosper on TV while Soupy is filing for bankruptcy....he's nothing and HBO exec realized this.

Ortiz, Peterson, Holt, Bradley, Alexander, Malingnigi, Artonitis, Urango, Alvarado....those boys are under 30 and will expose Soupy and I don't even want to bring up Manny and Ricky.....those two boys will murk Soupy in that ring, set his body on fire and bury his remains at sea.
Your all over the map with your response Queen. *Focus* the theme of the article is HBO not too keen on Judah/Campbell. Because of Judah's lack luster performances. The theme was not who would a "casual" fan love to fight. You got it twisted, and you still have not answered the question. When was the last time Nate Campbell lost on HBO? And when was the last time Judah won on HBO? Concentrate on the propsed question instead of counting another man's money. Since when does filing for bankruptcy have anything to do with your ability to put hands on someone? I understand the whole long in the tooth theory, those are valid points. But they're simply theories and best case scenarios. It's a fact that Zab has had his a$$ handed to him in his last few outtings on HBO.

they probably won't take the fight because judah's not earnt a pay day in a long time. probably more that they can't broadcast manslaughter on tv in all fairness, campbell would demolish judah, especially in his current boring form...

Boxing history has shown that there is a low success rate for fighters dropping down in weight after years in a higher weight class. That Judah will be anything like he was eight years ago at 140 is speculation at best.
