As much as I wanna give props to Shields cuz he is a good trainer, he pretty much is like McGirt right now where he has good fighters going against great fighters.

His resume aint lookin to hot as of late with Diaz and Juarez falling as well as training Evander for the Ibragimov fight

        Ridiculous!

Ronnie Shields is a top class trainer, he's resume speaks for itself, from sweet pea, to holyfield to vernon forrest, always gives great advice in the corner and comes with a great game plan.

BTW the post above me about holyfield, Shields no longer trains evander and has not been for the last year or 2, I believe Tommy Brooks(another great trainer) was in the corner of Holyfield for the Valuev fight and i can't remember who it was for the Ibragimov.

He didnt make any of those fighters, he may be a great trainer I just have never liked his instructions in the corner that much.

Ronnie Shields was in his cornor for the Ibragimov fight, hence why I brought it up.

Sorry, i guess you were right, but i remember when Shields told Holyfield he will not train him anymore and wants him to retire.

Also i dont think any trainer can save Cintron, Wladimir Klitschko's nutritionist who posts in another forum has told me that Cintron would usually give up in training and just sit out or would just quit and leave.

But Shields is a good trainer, he transformed Juan Diaz into a better fighter, Diaz has more of a technical pressure now, Shields likes him to work with the jab.

You're right he didn't but there aren't many pro trainers that have trained a fighter from the beginning nowadays, the ones that stick out are nacho with the marquez bros, floyd sr with jr and Leow with pavlik.

He wont have much work going on in the next several months i dont think.
Holyfield has been gone, Vanes just left, Juarez, Diaz, and Cintron just came off fights.

Shields said that after the Ibragimov fight, Shields is a good trainer but as far as Cintron, I really rooted for the guy and thot he could be a star but man is he mentally weak
