    Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez???

It seems like the WBA minimum champ, young sensation Roman Gonzalez had a surprisingly rough fight against challenger Francisco Rosas.
    Majority dec: 115-113, 115-114, 114-114.

Anyone who has some more facts?

Gonzalez was wasting to make weight due to a bit of inexperience and then got sick just before the fight. The fight was also brought forward an hour on the day, which didnt help.
He threw up in the corner at the end of the ninth and then took the last three rounds with pure guts.
It wasnt pretty but a great learning experience for the young champion, and the title is still in hand.
The fight also was not even close and the judge who had it a tie was a joke.
I hear they might be looking to fill canchilas spot with calderon in May after his defeat saturday.

The scores on boxrec for this fight are wrong. I know Gonzalez won 116-112, 115-113, and 114-114 according to the associated press.

Haven't seen the fight, but I would like to.

        .
How many times we have to tell you, the same thing. calderon aint fighting him unless he have a belt, wich he dont have. plus nobody knows who the **** he is.
Claderon doesnt win anything by fighting him, so if he have a belt is on, but since he doesnt have one, theres no fight.

Segura is the top runner for calderon, and they are wating on Sosa, or the winner of Viloria-Solis.

Ignoring all the Calderon-Gonzalez talk, I really hope Calderon-Solis happens instead of Calderon-Segura. The later fight mentioned is such a mismatch personally.

I'd love to see Gonzalez-Calderon, but it'll happen when Gonzalez deserves a shot. Right now I'd like to see him clear out 105.

The change from challenger to champion has been a bit big for the kid, he carries the hopes of a very poor nation and he hasnt handled it too well but this was a great learning experience.
i think calderon might just take the fight based on what happened in Mexico, try and get him out the way while he's a bit green behind the ears.
