It wasn't as bad as the Martinez-Cintron "draw", but John deserved the decision.

I had it 8-4 John. Although i could see it being a draw but thats an extreme reach being generous. I personally couldnt score it like that but also 7-5 I could also see, The early rounds i guess i could say not much was happening so Rocky may have banked a couple there

John is a really good fighter and I thought he won clearly as well. He's a technically solid boxer who's awkward at the same time, he'd beat pretty much everybody at 126 IMO and would become a threat at 130 when he moves up, I doubt he can stay at 126 for too much longer.

John is a great fighter. Slick, skillful, and deserves credit. It was very sad to see him getting booed, then end up on the wrong end of a shady decision. Clear UD, IMO.

I find it funny when people say the decision and the booing is why he, and other non-American based fighters, don't like coming over.

Yes, he clearly won yesterday and the judges were on something.

But he gained alot of peoples respect last night, more than he would have done if he stayed in Indonesia. People saw how good a fighter he really is. No-one is going to view last night's decision as a bad or mediocre result, and he still retains his belts. Sometimes you have to take a step back to eventually take two forwards.

Don't pull a Calzaghe and come over and try to build a resume with your last two fights, and then bleat that you don't get enough respect from the American boxing public.

Yeah I though the decision was poor as well and felt really sorry for him. I wasn't sold on him before the fight, though his record was a bit padded, but he impressed me last. He's a good polished fighter and should do well in America.

I thought John won too. I had only seen some footage of him against Marquez so that was the first time I really saw him fight. I was impressed, he is a good technical boxer and was pretty enertaining last night. I hope he keeps fighting these type of fights and he deserves them.
