Big crowds, less ducking, and exciting fights. Since the start of 2009 we have seen huge crowds in Houston, New York City, Ohio, and LA. Also got to see some great crowd pleasing fights with Berto/Collazo, Mosley/Marg, and Diaz V Marquez. This is what needed to happen, boxing no longer is that monopoly where they can give us crap and expect us to watch it. I have always said that MMA was the greatest thing to happen to boxing and so is this recession in a way. Boxing is going back to its roots and people are eating this **** up.
What do you think about the new state of boxing?

Las Vegas is a ghost town, it's the best thing that has happened to boxing in a long time. Lets not forget people can't be forking over for PPV so it has forced HBO to quit putting on bull**** fights for pay. Boxing has stepped up it's game since 2006 but this year it seems like they are finally able to put all the pieces together. -
Setanta are doing a great job over here, If Amir Khan can get by Barrera thats great news for boxing as Marco is old and on his way out FOR GOOD where as Khan is younger and has a big following and potentially bright future, Prize Fighter is drawing crowds and getting some good viewing figuers too
Keep making good fights with good fighters and less PPV and boxing can get back up off its knees!Comment
