Of course he can. He's still young and a very good fighter, on top of that, there is absolutely no shame in losing to Juan Manuel Marquez.
Can Juan Diaz Bounce Back?

he should keep stacking his paper fighting..If I was in his position I would forget about school...Make mils fighting then retire with mils...travel..enjoy your life..why waste it being a parasite lawyerComment

He is still very young at 25 years old and has 5 good, prime years left in the sport so yes he can definitely bounce back. But I do agree in terms of him having already reached his potential and not being able to win fights at the elite, upper echelons of the sport.Comment

Same here. You got to love his aggressive, come forward style. I think he will always be a notch below the real elites. Man, if he had some real punching power, he would be a true monster. Huge props to Diaz tonight. He was just in against a truly special fighter tonight.Comment

them last 3-4 rights to the chin before the first knock down, then that uppercut in the 2ND knockdown? he has Vargas written all over him...Comment

no, i bet that eye will get cut in every fight from now on.....they were also saying earlier that he might drop boxing for school......he also needs to realize that he cant take body punches with his current conditioning....if he learns to adjust maybe with a new trainer and gets better conditioning its possible...
Once a fighter who fights as aggressively as he does gets cracked, something is usually lost in them. Sometimes it's their heart, they become more timid and lack confidence in their durability, but very rarely they come back the same fighter.
It's not the same as a boxer who relies on movement and defense, because they can avoid the punches. A fighter like Diaz simply cannot avoid the punches.Comment

He is 25 but I don't think he needs 5 more years of this.Comment

JMM will either move up or retire within anotha yr. Diaz can still rule 135, he just fought a great ring general. He was stopped, but not shamed or physically ruined imo. Hell I think he's got a future at 140 himself.Comment

idk what diaz diet is like but if he cut dairy ..starch and red meats he could drop the fat and gain muscle and get more steam on those shots..fat weight is wasted weightComment
