Then became famous in another area of entertainment.

Tony Danza: 9-3 career record (according to boxrec), and lost to John LoCicero, who was in an unforgettable classic with William Caveman Lee.

Jack Palance: he fought under the name "Jack Brazzo", and lost a decision to Joe Baksi (who fought guys like Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott, and Lee Savold)

Berry Gordy: before he produced legendary films like The Last Dragon, he was a featherweight who fought in Michigan and California. I think he's actually in the California Sports Hall of Fame, although if he didn't produce music, there's no chance in hell he gets inducted.

    Billy Joel: amateur boxer

Rocky Graziano, the former middleweight champion, carved out a pretty profitable post-boxing career as a commercial pitchman, talk show guest and comedian.

He is famous because he's a boxer, and for no other reason. Same with Mancini.

Who could forget Reginald and Ronny Kray, the british gangsters?

Or Vincent the Chin Gigante, big time mob boss.

                All were pro fighters.

Martin Lawrence was an amateur fighter.

Here is he is fighting Hearns on "Martin". He's obviously acting like a goofball but you can get the sense that he knows how to box.

Comedy performance where he's talking about boxing:
