    Analisys on Marquez vs Diaz

For how things looks like, people may think that JMM will cruise to a UD. But if you pay attetion to their last fight, its far froman easy fight for either.

    Lets start with JMM
In his last fight he beated Joel Casamayor for the Ring LightWeight title, in a very competite fight. Wich was a draw till the stoppage. JMM looked a tad slower than he usually is and his defense didnt look as sharo as other times, and his counter punching was a bit off. Casamayor landed his straight left at will, and it wasnt till the 5th round that JMM counterpunched effectivly, and he as well as Casamayor look a bit tire. He look a bit sluggish, but ultimatey he got the KO and the W, against a fading Casamayor, who was 1 fight away from becoming a journeyman.

    Juan Diaz
He look sharped after his first loss. He started a bit slow, but when the fight progressed he look, strong and sharp with his punches. He was landing combos and and he landed very good power punches. But all of this against a willing target in Michael Katsidiz, whom was beaten by JMM victim Joel Casamayor. Diaz, was escapig Katsidiz left hook, but he was hit a bit, wih katsidiz right hand, wich can give him problems with JMM. Staina and chin wise, Diaz looked pretty good, and his workrate was excelent, ultimately getting him a good win against a decent opponent.

Taking their last fight in consideration, I think that Juan Diaz, will start a bit faster tis time, and JMM will have to work hard to get his rythim going. Diaz will be outworking JMM, while JMM will be landing the crispier, shots, but not that many. Marquez will try and go to the body, but he will pay for it, because he will have to open up to do so, and Diaz will be landing his uppercut. i think thats the patter that will folow for the whole fight. But I think that With Diaz strength, youth and workrate, he will outwork and tire out JMM, and end up TKOing him in the 11. But it will be a close fight till them!!!!!!

I had JMM up 97-93. The early rounds were pretty close, but Casamayor only won rounds 1, 8, and 9. You can make a case for him winning round 2.

I thought his defense was a bit sluggish, but Casmayor is a good counter-puncher. His fands were as fast as ever, but why the hell did you say Casamayor was a fight away from being a journeyman when he was the champ in the division? He looked great against Katsidis imo.

Because he got whoop by Santa Cruz, wich is no elite, he is decent but, he is nothing special. And Casamayor got a gift. And if he would off lost against Jatsidiz, he would of been a journeyman right now. And he went down against Katsidiz, who is not that Hard of a puncher.

Im not trying to discredit JMM, or anything, but it seems like father time will catch to him pretty soon. I dont know, it could me just me!!

By the way I had the fight 95-95

Casa was old, but you cant compare his boxing skills to juan diaz's. Dont expect Diaz to be able to land on Marquez as accurately as casa was. Katsisdis is a all steam ahead fighter, he make avergae techincal skills look better then they actually are. Look for Marquez to use Diaz's aggression against him and reveal his technical shortcomings.

Casamayor got a gift, but he didn't really take a beating. I mean granted he lost like 10 or more rounds, but he was never really physically beaten on besides the knockdown. Casamayor was rusty as ****. I'd pick Casamayor in a rematch who has been active.

As for Katsidis, he went down, but he got up and then took recontrol of the fight. Katsidis is a hard puncher imo. He has 20 KOs of 24 wins. He's not a destroyer, but he's a good puncher. I had it 6-3 Casamayor. Katsidis won the middle rounds, but Casamayor took control of the fight.

I can see why you are picking Diaz, but I completely disagree about Casamayor.
