DLH talks about quitting on his stool

Dunno if this has been posted before, but whatever.

DLH talks about quitting on his stool at around 6:15 with Univision. Basic translation:

DLH: From the first round I was frustrated because I could feel that my body was not responding. I wanted him to knock me out. I could have taken a beating all night, but after the 7th round, I was in a different world. I wasnt responding and I frustrated and angry.

Pac doesnt hit hard in that division, otherwise he would have knocked me out easily. I wanted him to knock me out in order for this to be over. I returned to the corner and the ref asked me if I wanted to continue but I couldn't respond. I just wanted this to be over one way or the other. When I see Shchaefer ready to throw in the towel, my wife screaming for it to stop, my brother and nacho asking what's going on, I wanted to leave the decision up to them. If they want to send me out then fine I'll continue with the beating, but if they want to stop it then let them stop it. I think my brother was the one who finally said stop the fight.

Interviewer: It seemed like Pac started holding back. I dont know if he also felt that you weren't responding because roach actually had to tell him that he must finish the job.

DLH: It could be that he felt sympathy for me. It reminded me of when Holmes fought Ali. Holmes was giving him an ugly beating and it reached the point when Holmes didn't even want to hit him out of sympathy. It reminded me a little of that fight.

He said that he's still contemplating whether or not to retire because wants to be 100 percent certain before making the final decision. He said he's not considering a fight with Chavez Jr, but a fight that might motivate him is a trilogy with Mosley.
