Pac has pretty well all the advantages in this fight
kind of crazy how Manny is the one who's never fought at the weight division before yet he's such an overwhelming favorite over Ricky Hatton.

I tend to agree with the consensus. 140 might be Hatton's weight

but Ricky is a very very hittable fighter and if Pacquiao can consistently put the leather on him .. next to staying out of the clinch game, that'll be a big key to the fight for Pacquiao

because going back to the Mayweather-Hatton fight sure Ricky can complain about the reffing ..who admittedly did break the action a bit early

but besides that, Hatton got hit with WAY too many clean punches.

Pacman might have every advantage, it is tough to say before the fight happeans. He is faster for sure and is the better techinical boxer (but I do not really see Pacman as a fighter that can win on technique alone, but I guess it is not out of the question against Hatton).

If I thought that hatton had no shot it would be tough to get excited about it, so I prefer to give Hatton a shot (but it will probably be apparent right away if he has a shot or not).
I agree with your post here, Gambler. It would be rather foolish to count Hatton out. These guys are pretty damn well matched. There are other factors to consider, too, such as will, heart, mental strength, etc. Things that cannot be measured in inches. Then there's styles: how well will they gel (or clash)?

Both are very strong fighters, both physically and mentally. Hatton has a big chance, but going on what we know, and throwing any kind of national bias out the window, I can't help adding everything up to a Pacquiao win. I am prepared to be proved wrong, however, so now I'm just looking forward to a great fight.

hatton has fought his whole career at 140 and is short and well built whereas manny is slimmer and has been moving up weights thats how hatton is stronger

hatton cant beat pac by boxing

He said the same thing pre Paulie. He boxed his way in then brawled.

I think its becauses it's Hatton's best weight class and he puts on about 12 pounds fight night.

If hatton can effectively cut off the ring and put the pressure he say he will. He will win. manny does have a hrder time fighting backwards and he does commit on all his punches. I think this will be a good fight and this will tell a lot about both fighters. Afterall, speed kills.

I'm sure he will, but he'll get picked a part.

this is hattons division where he has reigned for a long time so he has a good chance. what worries me is his brute strength, having said that this division has not been the best so him being the best at 140 might not mean much. i think pac is underrated with his infighting, he used to be an infighter when he was younger, and i think he knows how to protect himself.

another reason im leaning towards pac is current form, pac is on the best streak of his life, and when he took the mantle of p4p best he has emerged even better. pac is versityle and can change his plans, he can fight with lateral movement or trade, however hatton can only fight coming forward, what happens when he cant do this because he keeps getting tagged, he cant change his style, that for me will be the key to this fight. versatility. pac is versityle and can switch gameplan, hatton cannot.

once pac takes control of the centre of the ring its over for hatton.
