If price is right, Pacman-Marquez saga is on
IF THE offer is right, current pound-for-pound king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will battle his Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez for a second rematch.
Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach said in an interview by FightFan.com that they are willing to have a third clash with Marquez, this time at the light welterweight division where Pacquiao is currently in, if the guaranteed purse is right.

“If Marquez wants to come to 140 and the money is right… we’ll fight him again. Manny has no problem with that,” said Roach.
Roach said he would certainly like to see the rival fighters go at it for a third time.
“I’d love to see the fight and Manny has no problem fighting Marquez one more time, said the renowned Wild Card Gym trainer.
History
Pacquiao drew with Marquez in their first encounter in 2004 and the Filipino boxing superstar escaped a narrow split decision victory over the Mexican veteran last year, winning the World Boxing Council super featherweight crown.
“I thought we beat Marquez the first two fights. The first fight, there was a judging mistake and I thought that should have been our decision…and the second fight was very close and could have gone either way. By no means was it a robbery, but it was a close fight. The judges saw it our way, but if they’d seen it the other way, I wouldn’t have been crying about it and I would have congratulated them,” said Roach.
Doubts
Roach believes that if both fighters face each other again, inside the ring, then all the doubts of Pacquiao’s victory in the second bout will be erased. He is confident that his fighter will win the fight.
“To be honest, at this point with the way Manny is fighting, I think we’ll finally get Marquez,” said Roach.
Pacquiao, in his debut match at the 140-pound division, will be up against British slugger Ricky “Hitman” Hatton on May 2 at
the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
