Using sparring with him as a training method is a somewhat interesting idea, although I somewhat question it's efficacy. Sight is so essential in boxing that "developing the other senses" is likely to have only a marginal benefit at best, especially when fighting in a loud venue.

Sparring like that the only thing you'll be developing is brain damage.
