It's probably an age thing. Most people that post here probably weren't watching a prime Chavez, and grew up on Morales/Barrera fights. Can't blame them at all for that.

With all the sick fighters out of Mexico, it's really hard to go wrong.

Barrera. How many other fighters have been able to change their style so drastically to come back from adversity, especially from brawling to developing some of the best technical skills in the game?

Juan and Raf Marquez with Morales close behind them.

But if I was born years earlier, I would probably be praisin Ricardo Lopez. The little bit I've seen of him has been amazing.

And if everyone likes Morales this much, you guys should check out Antonio Demarco. The guy seems like a new version of Erik. I think Demarco is also from TJ and they have the same type of body frame and everything, he even has that fist clinch that Erik would do after he took someones best shot. Only Demarco is noticably bigger. I don't know if he's as fast or as accurate, but he put some major shots on Kid Diamond in his last fight.

Marco Antonio Barrera, his first fight with Morales is undoubtedly one of the best fights in recent memory and perhaps of all time. Personally my favourite Barrera performance was against a fighter called Enrique Sanchez either directly before or after the Hamed fight, unbelievable combination punching, countering, superb balance, a brilliant technical performance. I think Sanchez was a former world champ.

Well i'm not mexican i was born in n.y my mother and father are from DR but i could tell you my favorite mexican fighter of all-time and let me say this not just mexican my favorite fighter of all-time is the great julio cesar chavez by far. I remember went emaunel stewart trained him and he said that he thought that chavez was just a slugger but went he started training him he saw more than just ****ing he saw the boxing skills that chavez never needed to use. Julio cesar chavez was a great boxer as well as an inside fighter he just never really had to show his boxing skills. I'm only 28 years old but been watching boxing since i was 7 years old and have over 3500 boxing fight's record on vhs and i tell you guys something went i pop a tape in my vcr of chavez its something else chavez was and will always be my favorite fighter of all-time and mexico showed be happy that they had a champion by the name of EL GRAN CAMPEON MEXICANO JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ
