Really the money he makes is dependent on how many people buy his fights on PPV. He benefits because people hate him and want to see him lose ( more so then want to see him win, but he had fans also), but damn he is good at doing that.

I really think for the right money Floyd would fight anyone, that is all he is about. It might be more for some fighters then others, but I am sure he can be presueded with the right sum.

Now if anyone wants to pay it is another matter all together.

With the amount of money this fight would gross on PPV, both Manny and Floyd should be able to clear a butt-load.

I mean if people were willing to shell out the cash to see Mayweather take on an over the hill De La Hoya...whom Floyd beat by several points on my card despite the kiss-up scores he got...split decision my ass; .....AAANd if the public was willing to pay to see De La Hoya get his golden ass spanked by a smaller man for a change...

THEEENNN, the public should pay out the wazoo to see the two legitimate rivals for pound-4-pound go head to head in the ring.

If not, they're idiots. THis is a helluva fight that should happen.

I completley agree. 700k buys is 35-40 million in revenue right there add in live gate, sponsorships it would easily clear 50 million. The fighters together should get like 75% (35 million easy). Off that revenue projection 20 million does not seem to unreasonable at all.


This is just at 700k buys, it could easily do a million or twice that much if promoted in the right way.
