Being rich with no legacy is cool for him, but in the eyes of many, including boxing historians and scribes, he chose not to be great by not pushing himself to be or beat the best. Its unfortunate because I think Floyd had all the tools to become one of, if no the best of our time. He probably could have beaten every champ between 135-147, but instead fought safety first, and handpicked his opponents....its too bad for him and boxing fans because had he proved his worth, everyone talking **** about him would be singing a different story!!!
In theory the bold sounds good. But if you read some peoples posts on here it didn't matter who he fought they hated the style he fought. So for some people it didn't matter who he fought because they would have always hated the style he used to win the fight. Add on top of that hate he gets for his attitude I just don't see PBF getting his just due no matter what. I as big PBF fan would have like to see him fight more people but I also respect the business side of the coin just as much.Comment

That list of fighters is the reason Mayweather retired. He couldn't find one he was sure he could beat. He was used to fighting smaller fighters.Cotto has all the weight of the world on him. Mayweather never fought anyone that Cotto is to face to put the Division on lock. He fought Margarito. A person who Matweather turn down 8 million not to fight. Contrary to beleif. although Cotto lost, plaster or not, He took a bad ass cutting. Something Mayweather never did. Yet Cotto is here once again to fight. Mayweather is not. Cotto has to face a number of opponents. Berto, Clottey, MosleyII , MargaritoII,Quintana, Collozo, Cintron,!!! That is what Cotto has to look forward too. What a list.

I never knew that being a fan of the sport was about being more interested in fighters bank accounts, rather than being a fan of, and demanding competitive matchups.Comment
