What alot of you guys aren't seeing is..Clottey's real style..

all I keep seeing is "his defense is impenetrable".."his straight rights are monstrous" and "his left hooks are murderers!"..

what you guys don't understand is that Clottey is very inactive once he turns on the defense..and while he's on offense..you know what he does?..LUNGES IN WITH WIDE PUNCHES!..Cotto is ACCURATE and PRECISE!..Clottey is not a 100+ punch per round swinger..and Cotto is all about timing and power shots!..

Clottey is getting DROPPED..as long as Cotto plays it SMART tho!..cuz if he get's caught in a toe to toe..Clottey CAN be Dangerous..and could catch Cotto wit somethin that can be avoided!..I'm not looking past Clottey so easily..as I think it'll be very competitive..for a bit..but Cotto can and WILL adapt...and break Clottey down..like it's never been done before!..

Clottey's hungry..I'll give you that..but hunger can only take you to the big -stage..Skill is what you gotta deliver to show TRUE TALENT!..and that's where I believe Cotto is gonna step in front of Clottey and derail his plans to run the 147 division!..

    just my insight!

I agree. I see Cotto winning a decision. These are my two favourite 140 pounders, should be a great fight.

                clottey can beat cotto...

clottey gotta fight like nate did against funeka.

just cause you aint throwing punches dont mean you're not applying pressure. funeka was throwing a lot of leather to keep nate off him and moving real good to get out of the way. but funeka could not keep it up. nate was also using the peekaboo defense.

I'm not comparing cotto to funeka... cotto is clearly better. All I'm saying is its possible to pressure without throwing a gazillion punches per second.

if clottey can force cotto to throw and move constantly giving him no rest, clottey can take advantage when cotto gases late.

also, no way cotto is stopping clottey.

Clottey said he was "gonna attack and go crazy on him"... I have barely points BUT I'd bet it all saying that Cotto will knock him out.. Im going out on a limb.. i'll get flamed for it. But its my opinion. Clottey will get sloppy and Cotto will pot shot the crap out of him. His defense won't get him any points. Its a Winky like defense. And unlike Tito, Cotto has boxing skill and excellent body punching which would cause Clottey to drop his guard to protect those ribs.... Cotto by K.O

main reason Cotto will likely stop Clottey either on the stool or on the floor is Cotto's jab. Clottey's shell d is an open book for a good hard jab down the middle. Cotto will light him up with that jab and body work and Clottey will respond by getting sloppy with his hooks and combo's. Cotto is too experienced to get drawn into a slug fest. He will accumulate damage onto Clottey round after round and then we will truly see what Clottey is made of. Another major factor is that 147 is a squeeze for Clottey. Against Diego there were parts of the rounds he just took off and Corrales tagged him. He takes that kinda punishment from Cotto this fight wont last long and he will take a lot of punishment. I think after a few rounds this will be an easy fight for Cotto. Cotto's movement will be to good, he will be the obvious technically superior fighter and it will show fast.
