Right sir. I also said that he LIKELY did it before although that really doesn't matter. Fighter Luis Resto got 3 or 5 years behind bars an a permaban for assault with a deadly weapon.

Margarito should be punished for /the proven) attempted assault so a shorter sentence to go with a permaban seems about accurate to me.

Agreed if the substance found in his gloves is plaster I do not know if they have come out with the tox results yet but if it is then he should be brought u on charge for attempted assault and maybe a bigger ban should be put out by the Governing bodies....Resto got a life time ban right?....Lefty

Plaster or not is not super-relevant. Illegal substances was found. That seals it.

I felt that if we have a good intellegent thread about this subject where we could all post our feeling and discuss it then maybe the other threads will stop getting bombarded with people posting about this topic. I used to be a Margarito fan, until i found out he cheated. I have no respect for cheaters and he could have seriously injured someone with them.

I want to say he only tried using them for the Mosley fight, but it is quite likely he has used them before if he attempted it then.

I don't deny that Margs needs to pay for what he did in the Mosley fight. I just don't think he did it with Cotto or anyone prior to that. People seem to forget the shots Margs was taking in that fight with Cotto. If heart didn't win him that fight, then I don't know what else did.
