  • Clottey beats Cotto...BAD!

I've seen many posts showcasing Cotto as the big bad demon when compared to Berto. I think it's a bit unfair, but i can let it go since i like both fighters.

But i haven't heard that much deliberations on a possible Clottey-Cotto (C-C) bout. I believe that's because...deep down, many know it can go either. Infact, a lot a people are scared to this...but it's likely Clottey would take Cotto to the cleaners. A fight w/ Clottey can possibly end Cotto's career...that is, if he loses.

When they say Clottey is High risk/Low reward....it really is true. The man's hard to break...infact, he's never been broken...Cotto has. Also, Clottey is ****ING durable, even under pressure. He's got amazin def, starts slow but becomes a jackhammer later in the rounds. Cotto will definitely put it to Clottey with his combinations...but there are both sharp punchers....

If the fight happens. I'm sorry, i gotta go with Clottey on this one. Miguel will do everything right in the fight, but Clottey will just not cave in to Cotto.....JENNINGS DID, JUDAH DID...i'll be damned if Clottey does.

With that said, good luck to both fighters.

If I were Cotto, I would try to avoid Clottey for as long as I can. Cotto beats Berto, but doesn't stand a chance against Clottey.

LOL. Anyone notice when Clottey's in his peekaboo defense his body is primed for raking? Cotto can beat Clottey in a UD. I see Cotto outboxing him all the way.

Cats are sleepin on Clottey. He can do some serious damage in close, where Cotto usually likes to fight. I hate gettin my hopes up before a fight is actually signed, but wit this one I can't help it. They're both under Arum, both are titlists, and both want a big fight. They better scrap.

No. If Clottey keeps the shell defense all night he will get slaughtered to the body and when he lets it go to throw his fast left hook he will find that Cotto will land his jab before Clotteys left hook gets there.

If Cotto can keep moving around for 12, I think he boxes to a nice clear UD. If he loses his legs he loses the fight, imo. In any case it should be a great fight. Really hopin' this one gets made.

Cotto looks like a beast against the smaller welters.....Judah, Jennings, Quintana, and Gomez.....but against the bigger welters like Mosley and Tony, he fought off the back foot......Shane was confused and couldn't adjust to Cotto "the boxer"........he prepared for Cotto the "the bull", Shane went in there expecting a war and got outboxed in the process.....Tony might've cheated but Cotto gave up the middle of the ring from the opening bell......he went straight to the back foot! with that said, Clottey is considered a big welter......Cotto won't break Clottey's will just like he couldn't break Mosley's or Marg's.....the big welters!

                    Clottey by KO
