i havent seen much of clotty but i heard hes a hard puncher, and he beat the guys mayweather beat too corrales and judah. would be a good fight but wont happen mayweather wants big names.

Clottey's problem is his workrate. Mayweather would probably win based on his work rate, Clottey's guard is up so Mayweather would jab to the body and move. One thing is certain, it'd be a boring fight to alot of people

Clottey has good punching power, but he isn't a big puncher. I think Mayweather could beat him by UD. But Clottey is such a physically big and strong welterweight it's hard to say whether Mayweather would leave without being drawn into a real competitive fight.

Still it would never happen, Clottey doesn't bring any big money and he weighs in close to 150-160, once at 170. Huge risk for Mayweather that's brings little reward.

First of all Clottey is not a big name. He is a very good fighter, but he has yet to prove that he is any kind of world beater. He a lot bigger then Floyd, and has some other positve attributes.

There are 2 things that work againt Clottey though he fades and he can be frusterated which leads to him fouling.

Floyd is not really the type of fighter I would pick to beat Clottey though, as I believe the best way to beat Clottey is to put him on the defensive, because if he is forced into a defensive mindset that is how he will fight. I am pretty sure Floyd would not fight him this way, so it is tough to say.

I think Clottey would do alright early on, but I think Floyd would figure him out and really pull away as the fight wore on. It would probably pretty boring, although I bet Floyd would land some very nice body shots.

This fight has 12 round decision written all over it, no matter who wins.
