WTF is wrong with olympic boxing?

The scoring system is just ******. All 5 judges have to see a punch land and if all of them don't hit the button in less than one second, no point is awarded. Also, knock downs don't do crap, you could knock a guy down but if the has 1 more punch landed than you, he wins the round. It is just ******!!!! I can't even watch it. Anyone else think it's dumb?

Also, in the amateurs they don't score combos as the computer does not register multiple clicks.

They wear head gear...I say let them have at it....better yet let the pro's in...that would be one hellauva boxing turney!!!

I hear you, they should really mimic most professional rules, especially the scoring. A three round professional-like fight with protective gear is a lot more interesting that watching some monkeys pushing a button, amateur boxing has an impressive ammount of robberies due to that flaw. Perhaps they could also apply the three KD rule that has become obsolete in the pros.
