Floyd Mayweather Jr. -VS- Aaron Pryor at 140 Poll!

Who wins this one? It's a pretty solid clash of styles. Pryor's chin/power/aggression up against Mayweather's slick defense/ring intelligence. I think the fact that Pryor has decent speed to go with his power would result in Mayweather being stopped. In a 12 round fight. Poll to follow, discuss..

Pryor got dropped a few times but only by journeymen. He immediately got up and knocked them out usually. And it didn't happen when he took Arguello's best shots square on the jaw.

Mayweather wouldn't have dropped him, either. Pryor was a different kind of animal, and anyone who didn't see him fight can't really imagine what he was like. 15 rounds punching non-stop. They said he was just a slugger, a no skill dynamo until he gave Alexis Arguello a boxing lesson, sticking and jabbing like no one thought he could. Pryor is easily the most underrated 140 pounder in the history of the game.

We all know about Mayweather. I don't think this is a fight you can declare a winner. Mayweather is a better skilled fighter I think, but then again he never faced a buzzsaw that never stopped punching, who never got tired, never got arm weary, who never stopped coming.

I think this fight would be the fight of the decade, to be honest.

        Great matchup!

I agree. The hawk was a human wrecking ball at 140. Floyd might last the distance though.

This is a fight that Mayweather would never have taken.

I wonder what Mayweather would say about this. You can't be the Goat if everyone's got Pryor to stop you.
