Any professional will tell you that as you get to higher amount of competition the speed is the hardest thing to adapt to.. im not saying power is useless but being really strong isnt as uncommon as being really fast

I just read what you said later about either being fast and weak or strong and slow, thats alot tougher to answer but i think i would still have to go with speed.

      Perhaps the best answer.

Power, anyone who says speed needs to look at Malinaggi Vs Hatton

Speed over power all day of the week. Another reason why I don't lift weights, yeah I could be more powerful but I'd lose speed by the extra muscle.

A guy with speed and little power would normally beat a guy with little speed but with a lot of power, so speed is more important IMO and sometimes speed equals power. Although a combination of both would be best.

They are truly about even, speed can really be power, but power in the right hands and the ability to time faster hands,is a gorgeous thing, but throughout history, speed has trumped power for the most part. But power, combined with a stiff and true jab,is probably the greatest combination!!

Okay so apparently none of the trollers, and ******s could answer my question or comment.

The answer to the original post is Speed. Easily.

But timing beats speed. That's the 3rd element I was talking about.

                      Timing > Speed > Power.

Some of the morons on this thread need to train with an actual coach for a while.
