    do you think manny pacquiao will retire soon?

    i just get the feeling that manny wont be fighting for long... i see him with about 2 more great fight, and then retiring...... what do you think?

    I heard and there are confirmed reports this is his last year(2009).

      Nah, he won't do a Floyd. He'll be going after the biggest challenges for a while. The man was born to fight, I can see him going on long after his prime ala Duran.

        He is going to run for public office in his homeland.

          I'm not sure if his heart is really in the fight game anymore. He is too occupied with matters outside of the ring at all times for his drive to still be at 100%. It will be interesting to see how much interest in him as a public figure will remain in the years to come should he retire in the near future. I think it may be more of a mistake than he realizes. Ideally I'd say at least 2 more years would be best for him and his legacy.

            He should have 2 or 3 more fights.... for some reason I can see him boxing on too long though...

              i see him fighting the top guys like cotto, mosley etc....... then retiring in late 09/early 2010

                pac will retire soon... atmost 2 more fights, atleast 1 more.

                  pac should not retire if JMM still in sport of boxing. because JMM will easily take his place in p4p list JMM is 3rd. when pac n hopkins retired he will be number 1 easily w/c i totally disagree
