Its alittle suspect.
I mean they are saying some smaller HWs from yesteryear (Dempsey for instance) hit harder than some of the giant thumpers today. I mean in a P4P sense maybe they do, but if we are reducing it to P4P sense, then why arent we including men who arent HWs?Comment

Joe Frazier- I agree with for the hook only. Without the hook Frazier is a fringe contender, but the hook is good enough to catapult him to great status.
Rocky Marciano- I would hate to fight him in a bar, but he is one of the most overhyped overpraised fighters in history. Decent power but it pales in comparison to likes of a David Tua.
Mike Tyson- Great power in both hands deserves to be higher on this list. He wasnt a one trick pony he could hurt you with any shot he threw. A Mike Tyson with half the physical ability and twice the mental fortitude is the greatest boxer who ever lived.
Razor Ruddock- Decent power, nowadays he would beat up on the Calvin Brocks and Eddie Chambers but gets beat handily by a Klitschko.
Joe Louis- Hardest hitting CW in history.
Jack Dempsey- A Beast. Not sure how his power matches up with the giants of today because he doesnt box, he fights. Not a lot of technique, but good power.
Sonny Liston- Great power. One of the best jabs in history. Lacking a little technique on certain punches.
Max Baer- Good power, otherwise pretty overrated.
George Foreman- Ability to possible be ranked higher than Shavers. A lot of Foreman KOs came from arm punches.
Shavers-Ouch. Deserves to be number one.Comment
