I'm happy Oscar is recovering and appears to be stable. You would think his injury would send a message to CSAC how dangerous loading gloves is and why Margarito's punishment was no where near enough.

He should be ok! University has an excellent system setup for catastrophic cases. The system won't bankrupt him! Its a state funded institution! They will get their money and not from him or his family! And he received world class neurological care with an exceptional rehab program he has just entered! Money won't be what determines his quality of life for sure.

His opponent from that fight, Delvin Rodriquez is fighting soon (Hlashwito (sp)). I wonder how this last fight of his with Oscar will affect his game. Great to see Oscar out of the hospital...

The "news" praised the "quick" reaction time of the staff there, but I thought it was a bit ridiculous. The dude was slumped over in his chair practically drooling on himself, 3 or 4 people trying to get him up to continue the fight. After like 5 minutes they finally realized it wasn't going to happen. Pretty sad.

Great news. Good luck with rehab Oscar Diaz. You showed you're a real fighter by pulling out of the coma.
