For example, Manny is in no way like Henry Armstrong
Armstrong won world belts from Feather to Welter when there were half the weight divisions and a quarter of the amount of world titles there are nowadays
and yet i've heard Pac fans say he is as great as Armstrong
but if delahoya had belt and manny beat hatton, that'd be a different story.

Larry you a cool dude and I get what you are saying. Here is my theory on the whole thing. We all know that a lot of people do not like Floyd because of the persona. Goes without saying. If he had Shane Mosley's personality people would give him more credit, though he would be less of a draw than he currently is. So that's part of it. The other part is that people do not expect as much from Pac as they do from Floyd. Floyd has been on the p4p list forever and the odds always favor him.( The fight against Chico was even money.) So when Pac does something people give him more credit than they would Floyd. Put it like this, If Floyd fought everyone on Pac's resume and Pac fought everyone on Floyd's and their respective records were still the same....we would be in the same exact spot we are in right now. Pac is a great fighter and people should take nothing away from him. Floyd is also great but some have issues putting some things in perspective. If Floyd lost to Oscar or Hatton his career and legacy would have been extremely damaged. If Pac loses to either one he will recover fine. I really don't mind it actually because the more Pac gets the hype the more likely it is that him and Floyd fight. That in itself would be good for boxing.
